Softwares to identify your RAM
The best and simple software to identify all about your important Mother Board settings and the RAM you installed on your system is CPU-Z. You can download and install in on the system for which you are going to do a Memory Upgrade. Ok. Here for your information. software alone can not provide you all the real information of your System setup and Mother Board acceptable memory upgrade idea. Here is a question you need to think about before using a Software to make your upgrade decision.
“If you are running 133MHZ chips on a Mother Board capable of 133MHZ FSB, but both are set to run on 100Mhz, do you think you are guaranteed to get this right information about your RAM Memory from software? Or will it just tell you they are running at 100MHZ, which is accurate but incomplete?”

If you want answers that are Guaranteed Accurate, and quite probably additional useful information, there is no better source than your BIOS screen, Mother Board manual, and sticker on the chip itself. Almost zero effort required, and NO ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE NEEDED.
You are right. But it is guide for people who are clueless about memory upgrade and computer hardware. Anyhow, I completely agree with you.
